Announcing the Annual Eagle Scout Recognition Dinner! This event is very well attended and received. Program includes displays, guest speakers, presentation of a NESA scholarship to an Eagle Scout, presentation of the Fritz Huntzinger Award, socializing with various sponso rs and dignitaries. The dinner is being held at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library on Tuesday, May 13, 2008. All Eagle Scouts from April 1, 2007 through March 31, 2008 are invited to attend for free. Each Eagle Scout, parents of Eagles and potential sponsors have already received invitations. If you would like more information or to sponsor an Eagle Scout please call Vicky at the council office 805-482-8938.

An update for the 2008 Summer Camp! Sessions for Boy Scout Resident Camp have CHANGED, the second week (July 20-26) and the fourth week (August 3-9) have been cancelled. Units that were signed up for those weeks are being contacted and offered other weeks to go. If you have questions regarding this announcement please call the VCC office at 805-482-8938. We are still taking units and provisional Scouts in our first and third week. First and Third weeks have not been affected.
