Each leader needs to complete This is Scouting training only once.
Cub Scout Leader Specific Training (full course and upgrades ) gets you up to speed in your new Cub Scout position. This training is focused on teaching the new leader, or leader who is moving to a new position, just how easy and fun Cub Scouting can be! If you are training for the first time as a Cub Scout Leader, you must take the full course. If you have already taken the full course and are simply moving to a new position in the Cub Scout program, you only need to take an upgrade course. The upgrade course will involve only the specific information and skills you will need for your new position. This can be taken as a class or online.
Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster Leader Specific Training is designed to help new Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters understand the essentials of these leadership positions and realize that they can easily become successful Scout leaders. Discussions, group activities, and video clips will keep the sessions lively and create a fellowship of learning.
