Cub Scout Day Camp

Cub Scout Day Camp is a unique week-long opportunity for Cub Scouts and their families to enjoy a safe haven of Scouting activity.  Programs are age-appropriate and have different levels as you go from Tiger to Webelos.  Annually, the Ventura County Council provides multiple Day Camp opportunities to all Cub Scouts, siblings and local leaders.  The Council offers different locations for Day Camp.  A Pack is welcome to attend any Day Camp throughout the county.

"Let the Games Begin" - 2012 Cub Scout Day Camp!

If you can't make it to London for the 2012 Olympics, we will bring the games to you!  Enjoy the Torch Run and Parade of Athletes to start the week off.  Then, it's on to the many sport tournaments, cooking, climbing wall, jousting ring and of course, the usual BB gun and archery activities!  Then when you think you have traveled the world and experienced all the different countries and their traditional Olympic activities, we will have an International lunch to enjoy on Friday!  You won't want to miss this spectacular event!  

Attention All Boy Scouts!  Please come and volunteer with Cub Scout Day Camp!  We need Den Chiefs, Program Helpers and just great Boy Scouts to be examples to the future Boy Scouts!

2012 Cub Scout Day Camp Dates & Locations:

Conejo Valley District - June 18~22 -Triunfo Community Park, 875 Triunfo Canyon Rd., Westlake Village   

Ronald Reagan District - June 25~29 - Santa Susanna Park, 6503 Katherine Rd., Simi Valley 

Matilija District - July 9~13 - Sacred Heart Church, 10800 Henderson Rd., Ventura

Camarillo District - July 16~20 - Camarillo LDS Stake Center, 1201 Paseo Camarillo, Camarillo

Day Camp Hours:  Monday~Thursday:  9:00am - 3:30pm / Friday:  9:00am - 1:30pm

 

Cub Scout Day Camp Range Master Training:  Cub Scout Day Camp is the only place a Cub can earn their Archery and BB gun belt loops and pins - no other venue qualifies.  In order to have a proper range, we must have properly trained volunteers.  If you are planning to help at Cub Scout Day Camp and are interested in being a Range Master, please come to the Range Master Training on one of the following days: 

March 24, 2012 - Ventura County Council Office at 9:00 am 

April 14, 2012 - Ventura County Council Office at 9:00 am

Training is only good for two (2) years, so if you are not sure if you need to be trained, please call Ventura County Council to confirm.  Our Cubs deserve the best, so let's give them a fun and safe range!
